I went to Batanes with my family last 4 years ago. It looks so Batanes place, foods, culture and people. It made me so fun a lot. The people made me seemed so quite. I will be visiting in Batanes someday. I really miss BATANES.

San Antonio de Florencia Church

A small church in the town of Uyugan, it is dedicated to San Antonio de Florencia. Unfortunately, I have seen this church during my trips to Batanes.

SAVIDUG VILLAGE

Savidug is one of the traditional villages in Sabtang. Three types of Ivatan houses flank the streets of Batanes: the maytuab, stone house with four-sloped thatched cogon roof; the sinadumparan, stone house with two-sloped cogon roof; and the jinjin, wood and cogon. Savidug harbors sinadumparan houses. The stone walls of these houses are all identical, but the doors and windows provide avenues for personal creativity. They add color to the otherwise monotonous structures.

TAYID LIGHTHOUSE

The Tayid Lighthouse is the only lighthouse that is not located on Batan Island. One can easily see the lighthouse once they approach the port. Sadly, the land where the lighthouse stands is privately owned so visitors are not allowed to enter the area. Like the Basco and Sabtang lighthouses, it also stands on a hill.
